What it is
Angiogenesis (in plain English: the growing of new blood vessels) is one of the body's basic repair tools. When tissue is injured or growing, it needs more supply lines. Think of a new neighborhood that needs roads before trucks can deliver anything. The body builds those roads as tiny vessels that branch off the ones already there. How it works
Picture a cell sending up a flare. When tissue runs low on oxygen, it releases a signal called VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor — a molecule that tells nearby vessels to sprout). BPC-157, for example, has been studied in rats for effects on blood vessel growth and tendon healing (PubMed review on BPC-157). Most of that work was done in animals, not people. Animal results do not automatically carry over to humans. So this is an area of active study, not a settled human outcome.
