Accessibility Policy
Halftime Health LLC · Effective August 1, 2026 · Last updated May 6, 2026 · v1.0
1. Our commitment
Halftime Health LLC ("Halftime Health," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to making our website, member platform, and digital products usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We design, build, and maintain our digital experiences to substantially conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We track WCAG 2.2 and successor guidance, and where reasonably achievable we exceed Level AA in critical clinical flows — intake, clinical messaging, prescription review, and account management.
- Perceivable. Alternative text, captions, sufficient color contrast, and scalable text.
- Operable. Navigable by keyboard, assistive technologies, and a wide range of input methods.
- Understandable. Clear language, predictable behavior, and helpful error handling.
- Robust. Reliably interpreted by current and future user agents and assistive technologies.
2. Legal context
We design and operate our platform consistent with applicable accessibility laws, including:
- Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. §12181 et seq.)
- Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (42 U.S.C. §18116) and its implementing regulations, to the extent applicable to our platform and the Clinical Affiliate providing clinical services
- California Unruh Civil Rights Act (Cal. Civ. Code §51) and the California Disabled Persons Act
- New York State and New York City Human Rights Laws
- Other applicable state and local accessibility laws across the states in which we offer the service
3. Ongoing testing and remediation
- Automated testing. Continuous automated accessibility testing (axe-core or equivalent) runs in our CI/CD pipeline; regressions block deploys.
- Manual testing. Periodic testing with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS), keyboard-only navigation, voice control, and zoom/magnification.
- Real-user testing. We engage users who rely on assistive technologies to test critical flows.
- Third-party audits. Qualified third-party auditors at least annually and on each major release.
- Remediation tracking. Issues are logged and prioritized: severity-1 within 14 days, severity-2 within 30 days, severity-3 within 90 days.
We take a "fix it at the source" approach — issues are remediated in the underlying product, not papered over with overlays.
4. Known limitations
No website is perfectly accessible at every moment. Despite our efforts, parts of the service may not yet be fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. We maintain a current list of known limitations and remediation status, refreshed at least quarterly.
5. Third-party content
Some content is provided by third parties — embedded videos and media, social-media feeds, payment-processor-hosted checkout pages, and third-party scheduling, lab-ordering, or pharmacy-status interfaces. We make reasonable efforts to choose providers whose content meets accessibility standards and to surface accessible alternatives, but we do not control third-party accessibility. If you encounter a barrier, let us know and we will work to provide an accessible alternative.
6. Accommodations and feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need information or assistance in an alternate accessible format, please contact us. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five (5) business days and to resolve or provide a substantive update within thirty (30) days, depending on complexity.
If you require an accommodation to use the service or to receive clinical care from the Clinical Affiliate on the platform — including alternate intake formats or screen-reader-optimized clinical communications — contact us at the address below. Where a request involves PHI in an accessible format, we will fulfill it consistent with HIPAA's right of access (45 CFR §164.524).
7. Standards we follow
In addition to WCAG 2.1 AA, we draw on WAI-ARIA 1.2, the HTML Living Standard's semantics and accessibility features, the Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG) where we provide content-creation interfaces, and plain-language and reading-level guidance for clinical communications.
